暂取消硬体升级

i'm planning to upgrade my 6 years old pc with a stunning hardware by installing a new cpu(sand-bridge or 3d chips) and new motherboard.

but unfortunately, maybe i'm too bad luck on it. the bad news is always coming with me. Deciding to build a new pc was now withdrawn. Because i got a news from somewhere that Microsoft will decide to re-design their upcoming Operating System windows 8 to ARM platform. It means Intel processor is no longer supporting with windows 8. the reason is windows 8 is not based on IA-32 and x86-64 platform.

so i need to wait until next year? or sooner or later they confirm which hardware is supporting by? Otherwise, the upgrading of my pc is just a waste.

you may ask me why MS will based their windows 8 to ARM platform... because ARM chip is considered much power-efficient than Intel and AMD chips design when the same apps are running on the same environment like smart phone and tablet computer. ARM chips is currently the biggest CPU maker on mobile market.

And thank to the nano-technology for speeding up the speed of mobile's cpu, nowadays mostly the smart phone can run the OS as the OS run in PC. That is why Microsoft want to change their design to adapting to the new environment. Microsoft envision to bring their glory into mobile market as they monopoly in pc market. Besides, in which like the Apple has MC os and iOS could run successfully among their products. For example, iphone and ipad with iOS which are running in ARM platform.

so... too bad... Intel was said no plan to build a ARM platform.. hence.. let's to wait what'll happen after that. Maybe they'll come with other solutions for fixing this gaps. The competition of OS is no longer limited on pc share, but in mobile and tablet pc. Some software makers see the trend of future.....

for me... no upgrade at this time =(
